Council Mission

Our mission is to enrich the cultural life of the area by nurturing and supporting excellence in the arts, and by providing opportunities for area citizens, students and visitors to experience the arts in its myriad forms.

A note from the Prez...
On a beautiful weekend in Hill City, the Arts Council hosted its first "Sculpture in the Hills" Show and Sale. Featuring 26 artists from nine states across the Midwest, our fine art sculpture show and sale represented multiple media with subject matter ranging from life size presidents to Native American, Contemporary, Western and African imagery. We are very proud of our first show, and we received many compliments from sponsors, supporters and the artists.
